The Heart Attack Grill www.heartattackgrill.com is a medically themed hamburger grill restaurant which has garnered considerable national media attention. Copyists periodically arise to ride on the coattails of the famous Heart Attack Grill restaurant. Due to the contrasting parody of medicine and fast food when Heart Attack sues others, the event becomes national news. Recently, Heart Attack sued Heart Stoppers restaurant in federal court which generated some interesting commentary at OnPoint and in the ABA Journal (available here)
On May 3, 2010, U.S. District Court Judge Marra entered a Final Judgment which, among other things, confirmed Heart Attack’s superior rights to its medically themed hamburger grill restaurant and ordered Heart Stoppers to cease all use of the same.
